Abstract
According to Krause, Krause, and Bränfors (2018, hereafter KKB), female signatories of peace agreements have a significant effect on the durability of peace. This paper examines the reproducibility of their research and considers its limitations. Despite minor inconsistencies, the main findings are successfully reproduced, and the data analysis meets the key underlying statistical assumptions. However, further analysis also identifies low statistical power and the underspecification of the theoretical and empirical estimands as limitations of this research. Therefore, further empirical research into the effects of women’s participation on peace processes is needed to bolster KKB’s promising findings.

Biography
I received my PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney in September 2022 for research on the limitations of statistical modelling in the study of gender. I am currently a Research Officer at UNSW, focusing on research on the intersection of child sexual abuse and domestic violence.
